Bol.com has a campaign where they give you reasons to buy at their webshop, so this is one of the commercials made for that campaign.
haha, so funny! though didn't get the language.. but damn funny..

Excellent, really fun to watch :]
Particularly enjoyed the very "gamelike" animation. Felt like the entire thing was composed of starts, stops, cycles and headings. Probably not a cooincidence.

hahaha, well done! Thats definitely a great commercial.
Very very well done. I really like the guy who shoots the other one down :D. He looks great in the final animation! Its nice to see quality 3d work on dutch television and i hope to see more of it.

The characters are made in Zbrush and imported into Maya with displacement maps and everything is rendered with Mentalray and it's composited on the Flame. The lighting is mostly 3 point lighting setup.

Haha thanks dude, and yes it did make it on to the broadcasted version.. I wash my hands of this weirdness... I didn't texture the armor!

Hi guys,
Thanks for all your replies.
The entire production time was around six weeks. This was from conceptdesign/animatic untill final delivery. We had a bit more then 4 weeks of CG production. The core team existed from 6 CG artists. A creature-modeler/rigger/animator/modeler/render&lighting artist and a CG supervisor. We used 5 days of compositing.
At the moment we're working on the directors cut including more CG shots and a making of. When it's finished we'll post it all here.

Brilliant work! This is one of the few commercials that had me go from WTF? into a fit of laughter.
