View Full Version : Modelling out hair in maya?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could guide me in creating hair for characters. Not so much the low poly type of hair with planars I'm trying to achieve more of a free flowing type of hair that can be defined as strands of hair that can be seen when animated and modelled out. Does anyone know of any way to do this effectively in maya? I just need a starting point to experiment around with... and I'm having troubles of where to start and how to, and I am also having difficulties coming up with how to rig the hair after it's been created so if anyone can follow up with advice on how to do that afterwards would be greatly appreciated!
