Hi,
I would like to make planet boom something similar like this effect by Miguel Perez Senent (http://www.miguelperezsenent.com/Media/Animations/planet.avi (file://www.miguelperezsenent.com/Media/Animations/planet.avi)). I thing it was created in Houdini. Is it posible to make it in Particle Flow? I tried it. I started with sphere emiter which is emiting some chunk geometry when collides with ring deflector but the effect wasn’t good. Can anybody help me please.

On his website, there's a link to an interview he did which discusses that shot:

Thanks, I'v already read this article but this is another effect than planet explosion and it's created in SideFX Houdini. I'd like to make similir effect like pictures above using 3ds Max and it's Particle Flow.

That wouldn't be hard. Go see Alan McKay's tutorial on particle fracturing, then use some deflectors and forces to blow the planet up, and a flow with 'icon center out' speed to make the wave - shouldn't be too hard.
