View Full Version : problem with incidence shader in XSI 7 (lights list)

Hello folks,
I'm having a spot of trouble with the incidence shader in XSI 7.
I use the incidence shader with Surface/Lights(Light List) to drive gradient shaders a lot.
I just tried this in XSI 7 and it seems that adding or removing a light from the list has no effect at all. XSI seems to use all the lights in the scene, disregarding the Light List.

Could someone do me a favor and test this out? I'm hoping I'm doing something wrong (as usual!) as I really use this in everything I do.

Yeah buddy it's a bug. I gave it a shot and does the same thing. The way I figured around this is to use the lights for the incidence node with associated models.

Thanks for checking it out.
Another user on XSIbase had also confirmed it. I sent in a bug report to SI and they emailed me back that they're aware of it... so hopefully there will be a point update soon (though it seems they have their hands full lately!!!)
