View Full Version : Look out behind you!
agent44 06-07-2003, 06:15 PM This one just sort of came to me one night. I hadn't thought about it much, just sketched a thumbnail, enlarged it, and went with it. Despite it's shoddy beginings I think it turned out okay. Much better than I expected.

yes Jake, it is me, is IS ME!!!(in c3po's voice)
This is a beautiful picture in its verticality, and I still love what I can see of that thing he's standing on. Is that a plug in the lower right hand corner? What makes that white line around him -- is it a force field?
I was also wondering what kind of photohsop brushes you use to color these.

The line around him is just a graphic element, and shouldn't be read too literally. And that is some sort of plug down there.
As for brushes, I use a hard round brush to fill in the color, and an airbrush hard round to do all the high lights and shadow. SOmetimes I'll give it a soft edge for some gradient looking stuff.

SWeet. He's a cool little rodent and the snake guy reminds me of something I would have thought up. Your tonal values and coloring style makes me think of Moebius.
