CGTalk - Modeling a head

Ok well, I'm new to these forums.
Anyways! I've been doing a human girl for my 3D class and I'm having troubles figuring out how to make the head.. I'm using Lightwave 9.2 and such.
please help !

i started last week.

i used this tutorial
is basicly plane modelling.
but shows you how you can model edgeloops nicely
