Title: Tsar Dushan
Name: Boris Joanovic
Country: Slovakia
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay, ZBrush
This work is dedicated to the Serbian Emperor Dushan who had ruled Serbia in 14th century. He expended the territory of the then Serbian Kingdom and made it an Empire covering territory from the Adriatic to the Aegean seas, and he became the Emperor of the Serbs, Bulgarians and Greeks. However, I do not admire him because he conquered new territories but because of his another remarkable deed by which he wined historical glory. Namely, The Emperor Dushan set up so-called "Dushan's Law" in 1349 making Serbia a real state of rule of law. The Law applied to all people: aristocracy and common people
as well as the Emperor himself. You can find more details at:
http://www.dusanov-zakonik.co.yu/index.html
The only historical remnants from his time are frescoes in some Serbian and Macedonian monasteries and ruins of the Sent Archangels Monastery. Dushan's Law has survived through centuries up to the present time. That is why I have decided to "build" an virtual temple for him, made in 3d max, rendered in V-ray 28 hours.
