This picture was made by me and my friend Marcin Chomiczuk (ecospline) (http://ecospline.cgsociety.org/gallery/) for a forum contest "the small - the beautiful".
the main subject for this entry was a ride of fat guy through old city district. Making this one we wanted to show a whole bunch of beautiful emotions which comes from we used to think unimportant, useless, unvalued things. One of those beautiful and little things is happiness of fat guy who discovered himself enjoying riding a little bike. Happiness which nothing can spoil, not even catching flies on his own teeth.

kurcze dzieki chlopaki! nie spodziewalem sie takiego milego odzewu. pracka faktycznie nie jest swieza bo tamta bitwa zakonczyla sie rok temu. Milo ze jeszcze ja pamietacie ;) btw az serce rosnie jak widze tylu rodakow na forum. tym bardziej pozdrawiam i ogromnie dziekuje za pozytywne komentarze!

Geez, thanks everyone! I'm glad we made you laugh. I also can't belive it jumped on the frontpage. I'd never expected it could.

Really nice, overall I like it, though theres a couple things that also bother me.

1, he's going fast enough to splatter flies on his teeth, so the lack of even the slightest bit of motion blur REALLY kills any semblance of speed for me.
2, i personally feel the overall impact would be better if he had some kind of goggles. he's going fast enough to splatter bugs on his teeth, so one in his eye would kill his happiness mighty fast, and with as many are on his teeth its hard for me to accept none going near the eyes the whole time.

It's a great image, but I had the strangest impression the guy on the bike was a real person wearing a mask!

He looks like something out of a parade. :thumbsup:

crit:
I think the blurry leaves (whatever the blurred objects in the foreground are) at the edges of the illustration are distracting and take away too much attention from the refined nature of the rest of the content.
