antic_deep 06-07-2003, 11:41 AM I am totally a newbie in 3D max. Need some help from the oldbies. Ok, here is is the situation, I have two objects in my scene. I want one object to be in wireframe and the other in smooth in the same viewport, How ???:buttrock:

Why do you want to do this? :)
If you apply a wireframe material (check the box labelled wireframe in any standard material), this will made the object appear in wireframe when the view is set to smooth/shaded.
If a case of making things easier to work with, here's another couple of tips. There's an option for 'shade selected' which is very handy, especially if you assign it to a keyboard shortcut. Also, Alt+X will make your current selection transparant in shaded view.
