I don't know if it's considered to be a bug. And it's not a problem for Windows NT. See the picture. And maybe it also existed in earlier version of Maya.

Why it would be a bug? The same folder exists in XP and 2000 so it's no problem.

What exactly are you talking about? As far as I can tell this could be as much a windows issue as anything else?
