hi all

i am making a custom playblast and i am having a problem with it

when i make a playblast output in sequence and the same file exists it replaces the old ones and that's fine.

but in movie output it makes an error because the file already exists so i want to make a query to see if the file exists and depends on that i want 2 options:
1.make a increment file
2.replace the file
and it will be awesome if somebody tells me how to make from this a confirm window for this like "do u want to replace".

? that way?

replace file("-q", "-sn") with the file you want to check.

thx for this tip but i want to know first how to make increment playblast and how to make Maya overwrite or replace an existing file.
