I upgraded to a amd 6000+ about 12months ago and had a fair bit of trouble since, I thought it was just the way I screw round with my OS's/Apps etc, anyway after windows had a full melt down a few weeks ago I thought I'd look round the net a bit. Seems some of AMD's multicore CPU's arnt so reliable (runs in line with error code I got PLUS two mobo's, different RAM, 2 vid cards, 2 powersupplies points to the CPU) So I put the hard word on the missus and got a new intel cpu and mobo on friday, get round to swapping it in on Saturday and dont you know but all kind of weird crap happens just trying to install windows. After nearly 12 hours I figure it out, many new mobo's dont like ide, and both my dvd drives were ide :rolleyes: , got that fixed (swapped the sata out of the missus comp), now its as stable as a rock
