Thanks Valentina, Loren, Kirk, and David! Thanks lipthepencilboy, the hand looks OK to me but I have been working on it for too long to be objective :) probably when I look at it again in a few weeks I'll see it and can hopefully fix it, thanks for your comments.

Loren, for the hair I'm basically just building it all up on one layer, starting from big areas of color, then clumps and locks of hair, and then some strands at the end. I go back and forth between normal, overlay, multiply, and linear dodge brush modes, and at the end I glow out certain hilit areas.

Absoutely stunning; as are the rest of your gallery pieces. October is my favorite month of the year as well-I had to comment! I really like the fire effect on his fingers, and those eyes are captivating.

You're very welcome! I love your eye on the subjects you paint, as well as the colors that are used.

So warm, very sensual in expression and posture.

I would love to get my paintings to look the same-Practice, practice, practice! :) Though I'll be using oils and acrylics rather than the computer. NO way I'm painting with a mouse that stutters across the mouse pad the way mine does.
