Title: Breakdown
Name: Odhinn Kohout
Country: Canada
Software: Maya, Photoshop
Did this for fun with the base mesh done in Maya and the sculpting in MudBox. Used Photoshop to blend the back and foregrounds together as well as to adjust the lighting a bit.
About three weeks to complete working on it off and on.
Looking forward to the release of MudBox 2

I really like the image, but it would be vastily improved with a better skin shader for the guy. Right now he looks a little plastic-like.
Right now I'd give it 3*, with a perfect photo real skin shader, I'd give ya a 5. The idea is awesome.

Thanks for taking the time to crit the piece.
The SSS shader is still a work in progress for me, and I agree the guy does have a plastic look to him. Working a new shader now that has better absorption of light and a more convincing specular to it.
Happy you like the idea, thanks again.
