View Full Version : Volume Fog with Mental Ray rendering problem (blocky)

Hi there I have a scene in Maya and I am rendering with volume fog.

I scaled my volume box and the fog has gotten distorted. (atleast I think it is the fog) it could be just a mental ray problem.

anyway here is what I am getting.

Im hoping someone might know I could repair this.

Hmm, judging by the fact that it looks different in the areas around the fish and sea-plant-thing, I think it may be due to the volume sampling.

There should be volume sampling overrides in the attribute editor for the volume box, try turning those up.
