Title: Jungle World
Name: Andrew Davidson
Country: USA
Software: Lightwave 3D, Vue
This is the first image in a series I did. Created using Vue and Lightwave.
The sphere objects were created by displacing a sphere in Lightwave with various procedurals. I then exported the displaced object, brought it into Vue and created the environment. Rendered in Vue as well.

Been playing Spore for a week now, so this piece reminded me of the game as soon as I saw it. Needless to say there's no quality comparison, and I like the feel of the image. I'd also like to point out that -in my opinion- the left side shouldn't be all dark and black. A very soft light at the edge of the objects there could give a better sense of volume.

Thanks guys.
There are three more of these a desert world, snow world, and rock world. If you click on the link below you can look at them. I didn't want to be bothered with making 4 different threads for each one and I couldn't see where to post more then one image in a thread.

Nice work! Maybe they could all orbit around the same star?

Unbelievable that this thread has no rating.

After seeing all 4 of those, me thinks this should be 4 stars.
