I like the design of the purple creature, and the colors you used are nice.
The hero with the sword seems to be a little off balance, because of the heavy weight of the sword, also the left hand of the creature seems to be a bit off anatomically speaking.
Be careful with square compositions, they tend to look a bit awkward..
