Hi,

If I wanted to have 3 cylinders braided (like hair) what would be the best/fastest way to go about this?

I assume creating 3 cylinders and extruding, moving, rotating them into position would be extremely time consuming, extremely tedious/frustrating and not very practical.

Please tell me how you'd go about it, thank you. :bounce:

I would Create 3 Nurbs Curves, and braid them how I want them, then extrude a cylinder along each one. I know in Maya, its in the extrude options. Check the box for "Use Selected Curve for Extrusion"

there are numerous settings like Taper and Twist as well as the number of divisions along the extrusion.

Hope this helped.

Maybe Draw 3 circle shapes, then draw along the silhouette creating a sort-of "ace of clubs"
Shape. Extrude the shape than twist until it looks good.
