Title: White Lady
Name: Silvia Fusetti
Country: Italy
Software: Photoshop

A Celtic book cover.

Here you have what client asked me to do:

"We would like a noble tall woman with long blond hair that waves in the wind, dressed white and noble but not overcrowded (maybe with a cloak like "la_donna_di_avalon" which is also waving in the wind), possibly she holds her arms so that her palms are laid to one another in front of her. She should stand on a boat/barque which is crossing the cover from the right so that she shows her profile, (perspective like the German Avalon covers). The boat/barque should have some Celtic ornaments and burning torches on the sides. The background should be the foggy shore of a lake/river with silhouettes of trees. The whole colour setting should be blue and green (and yellow for the torch light),it should have the atmosphere of a foggy and misty morning, but nevertheless powerful."

I think I reached the goal...but I've been lucky in finding good reference photos :)

This is a beautiful, beautiful piece. I say you've captured the essence of Celtic legends of Sidhe. Mystic, mysterious and enchanting. This could be a wonderful portrait of Galadriel from Tolkien's books.

Cheers!

expression of forest and ship are really good but character description is bit lacking comparing with others.

Do you think so? In the first version I posted there was a difference of sharpness between the ship and the character. The ship was too much defined and I fixed that yesterday. This was not so visible in the low res version. But now I think it's quite good...

Thank you for your comment!

Congratulations. Fog is had to do while still keeping the character a focus in white. So thumbs up. I like the atmosphere you've got here with the torches. I can smell the swamp
