I've noticed this happen a lot... and I've never really thought anything of it. I was viewing a tutorial the other day and they had me remove part of this polygon. When I remove the sides, the insides of the rest of the object are completely transparent, but I noticed on the tutorial, the underside/inside of the object was visible, where none of the inner polygons on my object were visible. Is there a viewport option to see the texture on both the outter and inner sides?

(I had a box... turned it into an editable poly and deleted the sides and bottom... when i rotated to the bottom, the object completely disappeared. I know its there because all I have to do is rotate it back around to the top. The tutorials screenshots showed the underside, however. I'm just wondering how to achieve this)

Thanks for any help.

Yes. This feature is called backface culling. You can turn it off(which will make the object viewable on the insides) by right-clicking an object, and selecting properties. Turn off back-face cull on the right side of the dialog in the display section.

Should all work as you'd like now.
