Hi,

today i recieved this e-mail.(see attachment)

if you look at it there is a part with a "subscription in education" offer, does this offer mean that i could buy the student version of max with the time restriction, and then when it runs out get a new one free, just for £75?? (i hope i'm making sense)

Thanks,

Will

Basically for the 75 you would be entered into Discreets subscription program. That gaurantees you free upgrades on the max product as long as you are on the subscription program. The subscription program also gives you access to 3DSMAX Extension (which includes add plugins from VIZ and the new particle flow system) which are not available to everyone. I would suggest contacting the company that is offering the special and ask them for all the details.

Looks like an educational version. There was someone on ebay selling the same package for $2300.

reactor is a complete physics system inside of max. It lets you do rigid and soft body dynamics, rope simulation, cloth, and fluidic surfaces.

:applause: It already comes with max 5 if you have it. Otherwise it costs $1000.

As far as I know, these prices are for students only and it is the regular price that discreet offers.

This guy is just making it look like you are getting the 'real' version for less.

Buyer beware. Just learn about it before you toss a bunch of cash out the window.

i do realise it is a student version, i myself am only 14.

when i do get it i will order it from a proper retailer though.

might as well get it while i'm still a student and save thousands of pounds.

Cheers,

Will
