I'm having a problem in a project where objects (specifically biped) aren't highlighting when selected. Usually when I select something, the edges will tun white so I know it's selected. It's also only in this one project; if I make a new biped in the same project it does the same thing but if I make a different project, it highlights correctly. This isn't crippling but it is annoying. Also, this only happens in shaded mode. It highlights properly in wireframe.

Also, after customizing my keyboard layout, my delete key isn't working. I have to go to Edit -> Delete. I can't seem to assign the delete key to any of the delete options in the customize UI either. I would have assumed 'delete' is hard-coded (like F1) but I guess not.

Any thoughts folks? In addition to the usual annoyances in Max/CS, these seem particularly annoying.

Thanks,
Ed

You haven't turned off edged faces (F4) have you?

There's also another keyboard shortcut that toggles the bounding box from around the seected item.

Which would be "J". FWIW.

I have'nt had this issue, so I can't comment further. Let us know if you get it worked out.

Might want to post this over at discreet's forum as well.

Thanks erilaz and 3DZealot. The 'J' key was just what I needed.

Now if I could only figure out that damn delete thing...

Thanks again,
Ed
