Pretty straight forward question, How can I easily fill a glass or bottle I made?

i guess you created the glass with lathe nurbs, so just duplicate the glass, and then cut off the upper and outer part of the spline and close the spline where the liquids surface is going to be. when you create the shader for the liquid make sure to enable the displacement channel and just add a plain white in there and set the offset to 0.01. that prevents ugly render artifacts appearing when 2 surfaces are exactly at the same coordinates.

<physics>It's the meniscus</physics>, which I think you get in the Olympics, too. *nods sagely*
