I thought I'd take a break from my other WIP (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=31&t=671998) because I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas, so I figure I'll come back to it with a fresh perspective a bit later.
So, yeah, just started this one today after school. It's going to be of a man who is being enveloped by a hardening nanotech suit. His left hand is the only remaining body part not yet enclosed in the suit.
It's still very rough, and I'm still experimenting with a background (as you can see). However I'm welcome to any comments/critique you might have. You can also check my other thread to see how I progress and possibly offer ideas about my process.

Awesome idea. My only problem with the picture is I don't know why he would be putting his suit on in the field. I think he should be suiting up in some type of laboratory. Unless of course his suit has been damaged and now it is repairing itself, but there is nothing to support this theory.

Thanks, I was thinking I'd just put a drop ship behind him so it looked like he had just stepped off the ship, solving that problem. But... that's not really that exciting, so I think I'll scrap the ship idea all together and try something else entirely... maybe damage repair like you said, or something to that effect.
