View Full Version : LW 7.5c Plug-ins

My computer decided to do something extremely odd when I was trying to load the Splinamte plug-in. As a result, I no longer have plug-ins in my plug-ins folder. I have had to reinstall LW, but each time I used the LW 7.5b updater and the LW7.5c updater, the plugins folder remains empty.

I did manage to get the program up to 7.5c again, but with the 7.0 plugins.

Is it legit to ask that someone on this forum to e-mail me the 7.5c plugins, or should I wait until tomorrow and ask NT support?

That's odd. I recently reformatted my machine, and had to reinstall LW. I installed from the 7.5 disk, then ran the update to 7.5c and everything worked fine...

I would try wiping Lightwave off of your machine completely. (Make sure you back up your configs and license key file!) Then install from your disk and run the 7.5c updater (you should be able to skip b, since c is really just a maintenance release to fix it). If that doesn't get you straightened out, well...I don't know what to tell you. :shrug:

Ya, I think I'm going to try to do that again. I have the 7.0 CD.

I'm about to go Medieval on my computer's ass. The LW 7.5c updater keeps wiping out the files in my LW 7.0 folder, so I lose my plugins.

Arrrrrrgh!

Guess I will wait till tomorrow.

Exactly why I just stuck with 7.5 and never updated to c. If something like that happened in the middle of my project I would be extremely pissed.

The weird thing is, LW 7.5c has been working on this computer.

It wasn't until I started reading about the Spline Animation plugin here in the forum that I got curious and wanted to play with it.

Couldn't find it in the plugins folder, and thought I could just run the 7.5c updater again to reinstall the plugins.

I've been in living hell ever since...

The plugin should be in Lightwave 3D 7.5/Plugins/Animate/Splinamate.p

The 7.5 update for Windows can be downloaded directly from this link (ftp://ftp.newtek.com/pub/Patches/LightWave_Windows/lw75/LightWave_7.5_Update-Win.exe).

Wow, I thought I had problems when I added Eki's Plugpak but you beat me. My pluggins stayed intact I just needed to clean and defrag my drive. Now everything is running fine for me. I hope you get things working.:hmm:
