Here i am learning to model a human man...
Years to come before i get it right... hehehe
At first i tried a more "cartoon" style but as i modeled the separeted head, the result does not goes all that well with the body at all...

Well, you're right, the head doesn't really fit the body, but maybe increase the neck size to fit that musculature and it might look better, just make him look like a huge man with a small head, alot of guys too big look like that. For the rest of the model, it has potential, the hands look good, nice and stylized, the fore-arms look good, but the upperarms need alot of work. Check anatomy resources for the way the muscles are supposed to look, but basically, the biceps are too small, the middle-arm muscle (can't remember it's name) are hugely out of proportion, and the triceps are non-existant apparently. The shoulders on a man that size need to be about 3x bigger, right now they're tiny. and the chest is totally weird, you would never be able to animate an arm that is connected to the chest like that. Overrall, the form looks good, just improve the actual musculature, and you might actually have a pretty good model. Good luck, and have fun! :)

God damn you people... it looks great to me... The cheeks look a bit caved in and lumpy, but other than that it looks awsome.

I wasn't insulting him, he asked for C&C, so I let him know what i think he needs to improve, this is a WIP forum, that's why it exists, It's a good start to a model, but he's got alot of work left, I look forward to seeing it finished.

Yeah, I was talking about him, not you. I personally would have titled the post: "How can I improve this?" or "Human WIP" or something, because it flat out does not suck.

Jeez, man. Never say your own work sucks. It's one thing to ask for C&C but don't outright knock your art. Especially with this. This really isn't a bad model. There are some things that could use improving but then again, thats my opinion. As an artist you should try to make it to your expectations for right now. If you think it can be better than make it better. If people can see you've put time and effort into such, then you will be commended for doing so.
The only time I believe you should taylor your art to someone's liking is if you're aiming for a job in the industry. If you're applying for a position at a certain company then you may want to taylor your work to the company's style or needs. Other than that, make things that you find appealing and attractive to your eye. ^_^

TuLe: I will lay you across my knee if you post another statement like that, this model rocks for the time being!!!!:bounce:
The only problem i am having is that the neck (not the trapezius) looks a tad too thin, the facial structure is good with the exception of the cheek area near the nasal opening is too sunken and your chin looks abit to thin also. The muscular structure is too cool. This aids in the characters appeal to the audience... Keep it up Great Model:thumbsup:
Thanks everyone for the replys!
Well i spence a great deal of time, watching anatomy pics, and tweaking my character and here's what i have thus far...

Hey, what you have is a good wip.
I can't be sure about this cause I can only see the front view..
select the nostrils, tip of nose, bottom of cheecks, mouth, lips and chin and pull them forward so that the shadow of indentation arond those areas go away.
Next, what is happening at the armpit area? It looks like the middle of the triceps just blend into the back. Fix that, if that is what is happening.
But overall, looks good.
What's happening with the eye sockets?
