View Full Version : optimus Prime
BlindDog 06-05-2003, 11:36 PM Ok this my WIP of Optimus Prime :buttrock:
I really want the truck mode to be finished before i am going to finish the robot mode.
So i need your ideas to make this a cool Optimus Prime.
He can already transform just like the Optimus toy:eek:

Looks really kewl!:buttrock: I think you should give it a more real-life look. I think it's cooler to see a realistic truck transforming to a 'realistic' robot instead of a toytruck to a toyrobo!!!
which software are you using?
cheers!

he transforms! sweet, need to see that animation!
your model looks good, some proportions are slightly out tho it looks to me. what reference you using?
one thing which jumps out is the autobot logo is really out, the real one looks like this: http://gorillanation.studiostore.com/images/p/TFM/pdSTTFM0003.jpg
and you can download an .eps file of it here: http://logo.nino.ru/main/?text=autobot&x=0&y=0&id=135
(aint i good to you!)
keep it up, this is gonna be cool! :bounce:

Thanks for the better logo reference.
For now it is just a temporary texture so that wil be fixed.
My references are just a lot of pictures i found on the internet bu t they are all not really real enough. Because in all the images the truck doesn't really look like a real truck and that is what i want to make.
The same problem i find in the robot mode images of optimus prime. The robots look really cool but if you would transform that robot into a truck it wouldn't be a great truck so i am trying to make sure i have a cool truck before i start witch the robot mode.
thanks :bounce:

cool, you probably wanna look at real trucks in that case, the difference between toys and real things is usually in the details, as in lots more of them. but your on to a really good start here!

Nice going so far (I went to your site to see the truck)
if you look for the transformerfont on DaFont (http://www.dafont.com) it also has the two logo's (Decepticon and Autobot) so you'll have it in vector.
