The Art Institutes - Pear Pirate Ad

Hi guys this is an ad I worked on a couple of months ago
along with people from Animal Spots (www.animalspots.com (http://www.animalspots.com)).

I did the modeling, texturing and rigging of the Pear Pirate.

- Modeling: base max model, subdiv with Turbosmooth modifier.
- Texturing: Photoshop for Diffuse, NVTools for Normal Maps
- Rigging: Skinned on a Character Studio Biped, made 5-6 morph
targets and eye control system
- Materials/Rendering: I set up materials and rendering when I sent in my model.
- VRay Material with reflection/refraction and sss.
- VRay Lights and Enviroment - Irradiance and Light Cache.

- You download the animation from here (Rapidshare/FAST):

Hey man,

Nice stuff you got there. I loved the vfx shots but the animation needs work. iam guessing since you posted a mocap video that you used mocap to animate it but in my honest opinion i would love to see it using cartoony animation on it. The character looks awesome for that kind of stuff.

Anyway good luck in the future man and hope to see more of your stuff.

Nucleo: I didn't do animation, i think mocap was requested by the client. But I think I agree
that a more cartoony look would be better
