We have a great customer case-study for you to pick over. The guys at Konami were extremely helpful in putting this together for us. Enjoy :)

I didn't know they used XSI for that.

Just finished that game. It was great, except for the 8 hours(not kidding) of cut scenes.

You must have got the cut down version man, mine must have been well over over a dozen :)
Great game though, and nice article.

I swear there was at least one time when I watched 45 minutes of cut scenes, did this one minor little gameplay thing for about 30 seconds, and then watched another 30 minutes.

It pushed me to the limits of human endurance. Good thing the gameplay was so great.

Yah, the epilogue was pretty much like that.
I think it clocks about 95 minutes of cutscenes with roughly 5m of gameplay in the last 100 minutes of game.
If you latch on the graveyard sequence probably more.

I'm an MGS junkie but the first time I played this I did a lot of cut scene skipping!
the second time around (which I did at my leisure) I watched/endured the scenes - some are great, some are inane but I really wanted to pick up my 'Flashback' bonus' to build up those Drebin points.

Magic piece of work all round - they must have worked like madmen to get that finished
