Title: Cola Pudding
Name: timo buske
Country: Germany
Software:

Synthetical 3D representation.

It shows what happens if you turn a glass of cola upside down, lift it up and freeze the time. Beginners can add some gelatin. Let me know if anybody makes this work with classical photography... ;)

Techniques used: NURBS, Displacement

Propose: Portfolio

Hi,

nice and clean render, good presentation. One little crit: Those bubbles in the coke are a bit too much aligned in a row. That makes it look a bit "synthetic".

thank you very much guys. i always appreciate nice comments and constructive feedback.

@marcotronic: i also thought that cola bubbles would appear less regularly but in fact i noticed that in reality they appear even more in a row than these... put some cola into a glass. at first its pure chaos. but wait 20 seconds an then have look... its like pearls threaded on a string. strange but true. BUT MAYBE YOU ARE RIGHT?!? sometimes something looks more realistic if it differs from reality...

timo

Really nice glass and the cola shader is good too! I would say the same about the bubbles espacially when you turn a glass of coke and lift the glass they would be more irregular! But your observation is right, after a while they are in a row. but in my opinion its not so important how it is in reality its more important how people think it is ;) How did you do the coke typo on the glass, with displacement? Are you willing too tell a bit more about the process? BTW nice idea and nicely executed! greetz

Really good job with the materials. I agree about the bubbles being too perfect. I guess being artists we love seeing random chaos in our art :) Also, your work has inspired me to make coke jello after work. :D

Great work on those shaders. I would like to see the bubbles in more places in the soda. Keep up the good work.

Clean and simple, and the shaders are spot-on. Environment a little too steril, but it still looks damn awesome! Care to share the liquid material settings?

I agree, but I think it usually has alot more than one string of bubbles. Shaders look great!
