Looks like a cool frosted glass, really nice.. Would be perfect for some sort of soda ad

I'm sure you'll want to increase the amount of photons for your casustics.

Looks like a very good glass texture could we see it a glass without the frosting, help to see the reflections etc:thumbsup:

well, a glass usually has condensation because it has something cold (mmmm...cold beer) inside it. also, maybe a little puddle of condensation around the base?

is it frosted or is it a bump on the glass? i like the shader pretty much but the lighting is odd. fill the glass with some refreshing drink or maybe a cocktail and place some fresh cut in half fruits around the glass. and try to play with some, maybe three different lights, that add a tropical atmosphere to it.
well, just my poor ideas. :p

its a preyy simple shader just like basic glass with fresnal and all that.

the secret is that in the bump channel there is a 2d noise in the bump channel, if i get time I will give you the settings andall that.

Looks like it would work good for the space ship for Alienz cockpit!! HAHA Really, I see an animation of a fly landing in beer and getting drunk and flying into everything it can due to being drunk.. ComicRelief...

Tomato soup anyone?

Just threw some liquid/more photons into it, but it still needs alot of work.

the bright part of the liquid on the left side of the glass loks really sweet! the bottom of the glass looks kinda weird, like the glass has no bottom or the liquid just goes right through it., but this maybe a result of the refraction.

lol yep the liquid does indeed go though the bottom of the glass. I really did just throw it in there. In the next couple of days I hope to get a higher quality version in there.

here it is with the fluid actually in the glass.

any comments?

It looks great but make the liquid come up higher in the glass to give it more of a yellow glow like the other on the left and also make the actual glass in the cup thiner so there is more orange in the bottom!

yeah you are probibly right. that glass looks like it weighs ten pounds. gotta thin that out abit.

and it would look cooler with the liquid higher.
