I believe this was animated not by Dreamworks, but by ReelFx in Texas.

I'm not sure to what extent ReelFX worked on any of this, but I do recall a number of very talented artists animating on this at work. Rest assured, a large amount, if not all of the shots were animated by 2d artists at DWA.
As far as any post processes, that I'm not sure of.

for clarification. Rfx did all the 3d and DW did the 2d.. and the completed piece looks phenomenal.. kudos to all involved.

To be totally honest, i thought the film looked good...but the only interesting part in my opinion was the intro dream sequence....other than that it was pretty cookie cutter.

Can't wait for this now. They should do another 3D Kung Fu Panda film though. Looking through the artbook, there is a whole another movie in there in my opinion; so many excellent concepts didn't get into the movie, like Tai Lungs Army.
