I wanted to ask if anyone has good expiriences with a 19" or 21" LCD/TFT Monitor.
I'll use it not for games, just for CG.
Thanks,
Benedikt

Hi,
Just got the Samsung 191T myself and am very pleased with it. The bastards did however not include a DVI cable in the box so I had to beg for one from my computer supplier. (a normal non digital cable were however included).
As far as could tell from reading a great numbers of tests in magazines and on the Internet there is/were only one better choise on the market in that size range - the 18 inch L685EX from Eizo. Since the price difference were so huge I decided to go for the Samsung instead.
I am very pleased with everything except from how it displays text. The pixels are rather big so small letters get kind of jagged and hard to read. After turning on the Clear Type option for screen fonts (in the control panel) things got a little bit better however.
Best thing you could do is to not trust me or anyone else for that matter. Go and see for yourself before you buy.
Enjoy Sunshine in Life
Ole

Thanks very much for your help, 3D-Eagle :wavey:
I finally decided to buy the Samsung 191T, too.
Well I'm used to pretty small fonts, so i think (/hope :p ) that i wont have to much problems with it ;)
Thanks,
Benedikt

the 191T has a resolution of only 1280x1024.
Is that enough for you ? Are you gonna get 2 ? Sure you don't want to get a 1600x1200 ? Samsung 210T $1355 (if you look around), Formac Gallery 2010 $1099, Apple Studio 20" ('only' 1680x1050) $1299...

Just an FYI, there are two versions of the Formac Gallery 2010: a standard version called Oxygen ($1099) and the Platinum ($1399). The Platinum comes with a two dead pixel replacement policy and guaranteed color accuracy, the Oxygen does not.
I just ordered my second Platinum 2010, excellent LCD monitors.
