Hi to all,

I have a question regarding Compound Objects. How do i create a subtraction (A - B) object with an object built using extrude, and another primitive etc. It seems that a hole is made on the surface, but i want a dent in sort of effect...

---------------------- <--- plane (Object A)

__________
----| B |-------
|________ |

Result:

----- ----- ------- ----------
|_________|

(effect i want) but instead i got the above.

Lastly, can someone introduce me to a good particle animation tutorial. I am looking for a particles-flying-in-to-form-a-shape kind of effect.

Thanks for ye help!

Try to increase the segments of both of the Boolean components. especially the primative. It works I guess:rolleyes:

Best way is to avoid Boolean in Max because it's not working well.

Thanks for the replies. Still trying to figure out how to work around that. Anyway, is there a way to abort 3ds calculations/ operations? eg. intense cpu calculations which brings your comp to a halt.

I am using a Creative GeForce 2 GTS card, installed with the latest detonator driver from nvidia.
The card information shown under the viewport tab in preference is OpenGL (nVidia Coporation Version 1.4.0)

Thanks!
