So, for this WIP video, I tried to study a noodle system. I would like to thanks Tim Forbes for the tf_ribbonJoints MEL script that I used.
Using Maya 2008, I did:
. skinning;
. IK for arms and legs;
. noodles (ribbons);
. spline and neck with volume control;
. reverse foot;
. stretch and squash;

Hi rikkiknight,
thank you very much for your reply!
I will try to modify "clusters" to curves controls. I agree with you about it.
I hope post new videos soon.
All the best.

Hi Danilo,
Welcome to the competition and forum :) . Your noodle based rig system looks great! :thumbsup:
I really like your foot and toe control action, along with the belly/body action bulging and shrinking, -and the volume stays looking good (Great videos on YouTube too). I wish I had as much body work done as you do :D .

Hey guys,
joshpurple: Thank you very much for your reply I really liked it.
For this WIP, I did the secound part of the body Rig with:
. IK/FK controls with blend for arms and legs;
. Fingers controls;
. blendShapes in order to deform the head in the shell (in test yet);

I will try to work shell controls when I can (I hope soon !!!)
Please, feel free to comment :thumbsup:

That's GREAT! :beer:
The stretchy fingers are excellent, and I dig how you have the head-in-shell action. It looks like you even have a cartoony squash and stretch set-up on the head going in, -nice touch!
How do you like working with MEL script? I'm curious, since I'm using MaxScript, -and because your results look great :D .

Your stretchy fingers look cool. Your rig looks pretty clean. Nice work.

Hello guys,
Thank you so much. I like your works too. I am very glad with these comments. THANKS !!!
joshpurple: I like very much work with MEL and I want to study Python and C++ too in order to do something more advanced, but I don`t have a great programming background yet. For this project, I only used node connections and setDrivenKeys and I`m thinking use MEL scripts in the next part for face setup.
For "illusion" of stretch and squash of the head-in-shell action, i used three blendShapes with inbetween slide.
Again, Thank you :)
