View Full Version : Randomly texturing leaves

Hi Guys!
I'm currently working on a small animation including a palm tree. I'm about to texture the leaves, and I want them to have 5-10 different textures to be randomly mapped on each one of them. But I don't see a way to realize this - aside from selecting+grouping them by hand and assign the materials to those groups. Every leaf has got UV coords going from 0.0 to 1.1 (quadratic) - so a layered shader won't help me either. Maybe some of you have a clue how to fix that and could help me out - thanks a lot in advance

aww, didn't mention it - I'm using maya (2008 ex2).
