Hello,

I have a question about a specific technique. I want to create the effect of ink being absorbed on paper to write letters. I have seen this effect on movies like Harry Potter and Enchanted. Does anyone know of any technique or tutorials that explain how to do that.

Here is an example on min 5:29 aprox.

I would deeply appreciate any help!

One way... use a height field for the ink mask, where the center of the stroke is brightest, and the edges are darkest. The RGB for the ink could have the feathered watercolor edge. Then simply reveal the RGB by altering the contrast of the mask, combined with a larger expanding mask for a more uneven reveal.
