View Full Version : Normals problem
JaseP 06-05-2003, 10:35 AM Hey all, i have this editable poly object here, when i try to clone selected polys to create a new object, half of every poly disappears. I'm sure this is a simple problem, and i think i may have fixed it before, but i have a notoriously bad memory ;)
Here's the offending object in question:

Try to collapse the object, I usually rightclick and use the quadmenu. Does that help at all?

oddly enough it goes away after meshsmooth is applied. I'd really like to know what's happening though.

As in the previously-missing polygons reappears when Meshsmooth is applied?

Well, i only see the missing polys if i render the base mesh, and it looks fine when i render with meshsmooth on, but still, a bit annoying :) Also, when i tried converting to Editable mesh, it looked like that image in the viewport. Odd..
