When you use let say 2 to 5 cameras, in an animation how do I switch from one camera to another within the animation?

For me I can animate all the cameras, but can only use one camera view at a time. When the first camera is done animating, then the next one will move, but objectively. The other cameras continue to animate, but I am still looking through the first camera.

thanks

Try this script from Highend3d:

http://www.highend3d.com/files/dl.3d?group=melscripts&file_loc=cameraMain-v1.0-.mel&file_id=1202
from the site:
Creates a "cameraMain" camera which can be keyframed to assume the position/orientation/parameters of any number of other cameras. This allows you to have multiple cameras which you can cut between while looking through the cameraMain camera. We got this script from somewhere and then modified it.

Why not just keyframe the rendering camera with stepped keys? As long as they don't overlap it would be the easiest way...:hmm:

There is a script in Highend 3D->Maya->Mel Script->Interface and Display->camSwitcher v5.0

I haven't use this script, but seems to me it suitable for your need.;)
