CGTalk - new too cinema

hey im just starting out on cinema 4d and i have been looking a few tutorials this one tutorial i have been looking at it says stuff about selecting the polygon tool so i do that and it doesnt show the polygons it doesnt change it just stays solid as it originaly was can anyone help? and also if anyone has a good beginners tut etc would be greatfull thanx:thumbsup:

umm try hitting the C key, either that or hit make editable.

personally this can be found in the manuals ultra easily.

RTFM(read the ***** manual.)
