Hello to all of you...

Before I’ll start on the latest news about our competition, I would like to thank cgtalk.com, cgnetworks and all of its moderators (especially lildragon - > salud Tito) for letting us use this forum as the launching pod for our competition event. No matter how great the event, people still need to know about it. We are hoping that this event will cause an avalanche effect (other studios forking out some good prizes for all-open 3D competitions).

Now back to the competition at Void.
We are new at this kind of think, so any kind of suggestions are highly welcomed. You can go to our suggestion box (http://www.voidstudios.net/void/index.cfm?fuseaction=sBox.main&navId=57) or just email Steven Segec at SSegec@voidstudios.net (Steven has been assigned to the competition admin duties and tasks - each month different person here at Void will carry this task). Any types of suggestions are welcome: web site improvements/suggestions, competition voting, competition rules, competition prizes (yes we will add a surprise prize most of the time, just like we did with the EXPOSÉ for this month's prize). Yes, when this contest ends in January, we will follow it with something new - help us decide on the prizes and contest organization – rules, type of competition etc.

Oh well, that's all for now - go to the Main contest page (http://www.voidstudios.net/void/index.cfm?fuseaction=competition.main&navId=55) and check out the latest entries - there still is time to submit your work!

I think that our Cold Fusion Programming contractor made some changes to the competition preview page.
Could you guys give your opinions?

Well, Voting starts tomorrow!
Now, few thinks about the voting. We hope that all users will play fair and won’t try to "run up" the score by using multiple pc's etc. We are going to run reports on the voting IP's compared to the high mark given by IP address range (IP's on the same subnet, which may indicate the facility with many computers: school, studio etc.) If we notice that a particular subnet favors one particular work, we will contact that user and demand explanation and we may:
1. suspend this particular work from votes
2. remove excessive votes
3. suspend voting until new voting system is developed.

Have in mind that in effort to make this contest fun for everyone, we do not require registration before users are able to vote, please play fair so it can stay that way. Remember, wining is only part of the victory - the style in which you cross the finish line meters more...

We know that majority of the community are always abbeys the rules and we want to apologize to all of you for this warning.

We hope that all of you will enjoy this event!!
Good luck

And they're off! - Voting have started. Be sure to cast your vote for some of very amazing work (you could win the textures cd in the process - registered users only - it's the only way we can track you)
