well it now appears that i will have to cut out sleep all together in order to get my skill up to competing with you guys that and about 2 more years of practice :) cool stuff

np bud, I'm really impressed with your texturing skills.... any insight on the method?
01-11-2002, 04:30 PM
well, lots of switching between deep paint maya and photoslop - and lots of time getting the UV's right. That is the most tedious part I think. The projection paint in deep paint is a life saver though.

I've always wanted to get into DP but I just don't like porting my meshes to other apps, I'm kinda feverish that way :) I would rather paint a map then apply it, does DP allow this? or just painting on the 3D mesh itself?
haven't got into DP enough to know it

Awesome work. Love the Thorns.jpg character.

Cool. I remember first seeing your stuff on www.raph.com
I had downloaded the trial of DP3D. After using it, I don't see why anyone would want to texture without it. Now I just have to buy it.

Pascal, thanks! but I have to say your new stuff is rocking pretty hard too.
Triadis, Deep Paint is totally worth it. It's created a few headaches but has saved me from so much more. Go get it!

i love the sylized grass in the picture with the guy who has the mutant arm. is that done in post?
its got good weight aswell, looks like he really is walking into the wind... esp with the angle of grass against the angle of his body... and the scarf blowing.

yeah, I do most of the background stuff in post, someitmes with 3d elements mixed in. I really enjoy photoshop painting, so its kind of a way to practice that.
