how can i apply layer masking in painter?

please can someone explain?

To learn how to work with Layer Masks, read the following:

Painter X Help > Help Topics > Contents tab > Layers

Click the plus sign to the left of Layers, then click Working with Layer Masks.

Read the page that displays in the right panel.
