CGTalk - Menu's Ghosted

I have appended a few Subtools. On each I'd like to add a new Layer and Morph Target. However, when my Subtools are selected, the above mentioned's menu's are ghosted.

How can I be able to unghost and add a new Layer and MT to my Subtools?

Not sure why that happens. Is it possible the polycount is too high? At which subD level are you trying to add the MT and layer?
If you still cant get it working, try append a box or something simple, if you can add morph targets before its appended but not after, you at least know that there is nothing wrong on the subtools themselves.

Thank you for the idea.

I tried the box first and was able to both add a new layer and store a MT.

Now I put in new Subtools and they work fine. Old ones weren't deforming good anyway.
