I tried to imagine how endlessly futile is every technological advancement if there really is a higher beeing watching over a civilization ...
As I wanted to finish quickly, I simply painted and comped the BG in photoshop.
The FG was rendered with mental ray-maya. This time I tried to use mainly procedural networks for the textures, so there are only a couple of file textures in the scene.
