Hi Im taking my work one step further and have decided to start using mental ray so I guess
I really only have two q's.

I have been told that when using mental ray you have the ability to combine all your textures into one map allowing you to user to keep normals, ao, etc the only thing is how do would you go about baking all these different textures into one?

Any considerations that need to be applied to the process e.g in, or while export out in photoshop.

Lastly what are the benefits of mental ray over software etc it may seem a stupid question but just feel that it's a question worth asking if im going to go with the flow and go with the option everybody else seems to be choosing. Hope you guys out there understand.

Once again guys apologies for any stupid q's.

mental ray is a very efficient ray-tracer, and offers benefits and advanced effects like ambient occlusion and indirect illumination
