View Full Version : Animating 2D
MarioVeltri 09-10-2008, 10:27 AM Can anyone suggest me a software to quick draw character with pencil,
scroll frames to see the animation effect and export frames to be imported
and coloured in illustrator?
Well I am new in animation field and maybe the question sounds noobish,
but if there is a specified workflow I would happy to know it.
Thank you in advance to everybody.

You might be interested in ToonBoom Studio although it has a lot more capabilities than just drawing, you can color and animate with it as well. See: http://www.toonboom.com/products/toonBoomStudio/Good luck, Gina

TV Paint is bar far the best I have used, It's worth paying for. It's got all the functions you could think of needing plus more, which looks a bit cluttered when you first open it but you can make a custom tool panel with only the functions you regularly use.
Most importantly it is the best program to draw freehand into, feels very similar to Autodesk Sketchbook Pro when you have the Sub Pixel Coordinates option on, and you can rotate the canvas like in Corel Painter.
