I spend lot of time searching for a free a easy to use render network manager for maya.
The only free I've find is DrQueue (http://www.highend3d.com/downloads/tools/render_managers/DrQueue-2885.html).
I've test smedge wich is very interesting and easy, royal render have a lot of options (but this twice are not free)...
Any way, I'm sur you can find free "network command line launcher" (launching you mayabatch command on the network).
If you find it, I will be very interested!

Good luck!
Have a good day! :wavey:

Smedge my man, ive been using it for about 5 years. Latest version is stable, and it's so easy to set up.

A lot of high-end studios thumb their noses at it, but i think it's underrated. I'm currently using Pixar's Alfred, and i would even say that smedge gives that a run for it's money (ooo controversial).
