It is refreshing to see a studio does a different type of animation material. I can't wait to see it. Aren't they working on Astroboy too? Which one's gonna come out first?

Not really sure how I feel about these. It'll be interesting to see if these are targeted more toward American children, which would mean it'd be about as good as the heavily edited releases from the 70's.

And Astro Boy? Really? While I'm sure it'll look awesome, I just can't see them coming up with a script worthy of it. Everything Tezuka Osamu wrote, even his stuff for kids, had so much imagination and depth. I wonder if the movie will have the same spiritual symbolism found rampant throughout the manga (i've never seen the show, so I'm not sure if it's any different). Every manga he wrote could make an incredible film...if done right. Look at the success of the Lion King.

Nevertheless, they would be a blast to work on, I'm sure.
