And here a more recent one with some textures attached.Because

Well, lets say i was inspired by a Vespa :)I found an image in
a book with an 160 ccm from the late fifties.I changed the
body at some areas and called it "Roller"...:)

sweet.
Nice attention to detail, and the haphazard way backs of houses can look.
By the way... just saw your images at renderosity... any chance you have those scenes animated as fly throughs or whatnot? Would love to see them if you do.

yet nothing to crit on the modelling or texturing, looks pretty cool as far as i can see it. but one issue on the lighting although i dunno if your light rig is already finished, but it would add a lot of "outside-feeling" to it if you'd add some blueish spots simulating the sky, but make sure to turn off shadows and specular on these lights.

It looks Great I love all the small details!

06-06-2003, 01:35 PM
Ah yes, that`s a good idea.I will keep that in mind.At the moment
the light is not ready (just on the half way),but in a more recent version i`m rendering at the moment the strenght of shadows are
lowered, because now having most things textured the impression of the light is different than without textures.
cheers rollmops :)

Very good modeling and texturing. I also have to ask you to post a bigger image :). It is too nice.
I just have to say that the lighting is kickass, the shadows are very cool!

great work so far!! but i don't like the colour of the grass, it is much too saturated inn my opinion. and plzplzplzplzplz post a bigger pic. i can hardly crit something that i almost can't see. it is impossible to crit on the texture or the modelling, i can only guess that it looks great.:hmm:

yes, itīs awesome - I guess....

You're right :the size of the pictures is too small and the color of the gras was not good at this moment i rendered that screenshot.
The last (small) image was rendered without
any AA ,because of the rendertime. The final image will be rendered about 4000-6000 pixels wide (at the moment 1200).
Well,i think this will take about 24-30 hours on my machine...:)
Btw:how can i get bigger images in here ?I mean,i tried to link
the images, but it does not seem to work in my case.
Normaly my images are around 50 mb (sometimes more) and
reduce them to 20 kbyte is not really good for the quality;)

The adress above leads you to higher resoluted versions
of my project-images.My threat is in that case in German,
but the rest of this site is also English.

Hi Mops,
Very, very nice. There is a lot detail in your
picture. Maybe you could add some DOF
and visible light to give the picture some
more depth and atmosphere.

Nice work.
What did you do to make the house bricks? Is each one a object? Or use using a displacement map? or something else?
I needed something like those bricks not so long ago, And coulnd't think of a way to do them without making each brick as a seperate object.
Fredivoss
06-16-2003, 12:38 PM
The wall is made of single bricks, about 190 in total (puh:).Not
the fastest way i think, but to create a displacement-map in
a good quality for close-ups,it would be necessary to use a lot more of polygons .So the wall-element consists of 41000 polys
and needs about 1,6 Mb memory. For the texturing i conduted
the bricks into 5 components, enough for variations of textures.
Cheers rollmops.
Those bricks are awesome dude. Never seen better.
How did you split them up in a big bitmap with PSD or what?
Fredivoss
06-16-2003, 06:37 PM
Ah,i see imade a mistake! No the bricks are not based on a bump-
map, they were modeled individually: each beginng with a cube
and then deforming it each time in different variations. As a result i got individual bricks ,which were textured by bhodinuts danel
sla-shader.These individual bricks i conducted into 5 single objects. I created different variations of the sla-settings for
applying them on my models.
Cheers rollmops:)
